The Friends of the Art Center will be hosting its annual Rooftop Jazz & Blues event on Saturday, July 5.

Join friends and family for an evening of great live musical entertainment, rooftop and riverside seating, and delicious food at Rooftop Jazz & Blues on July 5 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.  Their Cedar River Rooftop Deck and Riverside Sculpture Plaza make the perfect setting for this annual event featuring live blues and jazz music by the dynamic  Dynaflows.
 

Bring your dancing shoes, a hearty appetite, and the whole family for a rockin' fun evening of live music at this year’s Rooftop Jazz & Blues.  The event starts at 6:30pm, and admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under, and free for kids under 3.  A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase, including local favorite Lou’s Barbeque.  With rooftop and riverside seating available, this casual evening of summer fun will be great way for family and friends to spend their Saturday night.  Plus, the Waterloo Jaycees will be featuring a spectacular downtown fireworks display at 10:00pm, and the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ plaza and rooftop decks offer an incredible view.
 
All proceeds from this event will support the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ diverse programs and exhibits, including the new interactive Phelps Youth Pavilion.  The Center strives to further awareness, appreciation, and support of the arts throughout the Cedar Valley community by providing classes, workshops and exhibitions that appeal to a diverse audience.
